Please read the following terms and conditions carefully as use of and/or buying from the Matchitbox.com site (Site) means that you will be bound by them. In certain instances these terms incorporate statements to be found in the Privacy, Returns & Refunds and Delivery sections of our site.
1. Waiver
Every effort has, is and will be taken to ensure that the information contained in this site is correct and up to date. The information may, however, become incomplete, inaccurate or out of date. To the full extent permitted by law, but subject to the terms and conditions of sale referred to below, we disclaim all warranties and representations (whether implied or expressed) as to the accuracy of any information contained on this Site.
2. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions the following definitions apply.
Conditions. The standard Terms and Conditions of sale as set out in this document.
Contract. The contract for sale by us and purchase of Goods by you.
Goods. The range of products which are available for purchase from this site in accordance with the terms.
Regulations. The Consumer Protection (Distance selling) Regulations 2000.
Web Site. Our world wide web address www.matchitbox.com.
3. Limitation of liability
This Site should only be used for information purposes. Matchitbox.com shall not be liable for any damage or loss that may occur in the use of any of the information contained or advice given in this site except as stated in the terms and conditions of sale (where applicable)and to the extent that such liability cannot be excluded by law. Matchitbox.com is not responsible for the Site's accuracy or its fitness for a particular purpose or the reliability of the access to this Site.
Matchitbox.com is not liable for any damages or losses resulting from your use of or inability to use this Site. Matchitbox.com does not guarantee that this Site will operate free of error or that it is free from computer viruses or any other contaminating computer program.
We will not be liable to you or in breach of the Contract for delay or failure to perform due to any causes beyond the reasonable control of Matchitbx.com or its suppliers, including, but not limited to, acts of god, civil commotion, industrial dispute, riots, flood, and legislation, breakdown of systems or network access.
4. Data protection and privacy
Any details which you provide to us from which we can identify you are held and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to third parties.
We conform with the requirements of the Data Protection Act, 1998.
5. Pricing
All prices quoted are in British pounds (£). If the price goes up or down in between you placing and receiving your order, we will honour the original price. In addition to the price of the Goods you will be liable to pay our charges for transport, packaging and insurance as shown on the Order Form.
6. Ordering and stock availability
We aim to display only items that are in stock and which can be dispatched to you quickly. From time to time we may sell out of some lines, in which case we will aim to advise you within the 10-14 day delivery period. If this does occur, you will be given the opportunity to order an alternative or receive a full refund for the full price you paid.
Matchitbox.com makes no representation as to the goods, items, products or services referred to in, or sold from, this Site as being available or suitable for use.
7. The Contract Between Us
Matchitbox.com must receive payment of the whole of the price for the goods that you order before your order can be accepted. Once payment has been received by us we will confirm that your order has been accepted by sending an email to you at the email address you provide. Our acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between us.
8. Our rights to refuse your order
Matchitbox.com reserves the right to refuse to accept your order for any reason including, without limitation and whether ir not payment has been received by us, if;
a) we have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered; or
b) we do not deliver to your area.
If we do refuse your order we will notify you by email and will re-credit to your account any sum deducted by us from your credit card as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
9. Cancellation
If you change your mind about anything you order, you can cancel that order free of charge so long as you do so within 7 working days of receipt of goods. You do not have to provide any reason for cancellation. Goods may be on their way to you. We will cancel any such order without charging you, with the exception that we reserve the right to make a charge for the return of the goods when necessary. In the event of cancellation we guarantee to refund your money within 30 days. I f you cancel the order but do not return the goods to us in the condition they were in when delivered to you, we shall be entitled to deduct the direct costs of recovering the goods from the amount to be re-credited to you.
10. Changes to the terms
Matchitbox.com reserves the right to remove, modify or change, without notice, any information on this Site from time to time. Matchitbox.com may change these terms at any time by posting notice of the changes on the Site. If you use the Site after Matchitbox.com has posted the changes you will be bound by the new terms. You should therefore ensure that you read the terms each time you use the Site.
11. General
E-mails to you will be sent to the address you specify to us. You must only provide us with a valid e-mail address and it is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to that address.
To the extent that any provision of these terms is found by any court or authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be deemed not to be a part of these terms and will not affect the enforceability of the remainder of these terms, nor will it affect the validity, lawfulness or enforceability of that provision in any other jurisdiction.
The headings in these terms are for convenience only and do not affect their interpretation.
These terms supersede any representation made by us or any of our employees or agents.
12. Statutory rights
The consumer's contract with Matchitbox.com does not affect the consumer's statutory rights.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and your use of this Site are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and any disputes will be decided only by the Courts of England and Wales.
Privacy Policy
1. What information do we collect?
When you place an order with Matchitbox.com, we need to know your name, e-mail address, delivery address, credit or debit card number and expiry date. This enables us to process and fulfil your orders and to notify you in the event of any queries.
We also request your telephone number, which allows us to contact you urgently if there is a problem with your order and allow couriers to contact you if problems arise with delivery. We will communicate with you by e-mail, telephone or letter.
We may use the information we collect to occasionally notify you about new products and special offers. If you do not want to be contacted by us, please uncheck the box in the registration section when you register. If you don't uncheck the box but decide later that you don't want to receive any more information just let us know by e-mailing us at customer.services@matchitbox.com
We will take all reasonable care to keep all information connected with your order secure but we cannot be held liable for any loss that you may suffer if a third party obtains unauthorised access to any data, including credit and account details you provide when accessing or ordering from this Web Site, unless this is solely due to our negligence.
Returns & refunds
The following is for guidance only and does not affect the Terms and Conditions.
1. Our aim
We want you to be delighted with your order, so if you are unhappy with your goods you can return them in their original condition, for any reason within 7 days of receipt of goods for a replacement or a refund. Transit damages and shortages must be notified within 48 hours. If you notify a problem to us under this condition then at your option we will either:
Make good any shortage or non-delivery;
Replace or repair any goods that are damaged or defective; or
Refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question in whatever way we choose.
And (except where you are dealing as a consumer) we shall have no further liability to you.
Please note that if you are returning an item which is not faulty or damaged, only not suitable, then you are liable for the delivery charge to return the item to us. When a full refund is given, an item must be returned in its original packaging with the original delivery document enclosed. The product must be in its original condition.
2. General
All items must be returned to us before a refund or replacement is issued.
If we have made a mistake we'll also refund the delivery charge.
Refunds will be issued within 7 days of us receiving the goods back from you.
This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
3. How do I return something to Matchitbox.com?
If we have made an error with your delivery or you wish to return an item for any reason, please call our customer services department on 07989 765157 or e-mail us on customer.services@matchitbox.com and we will organise the processing of a replacement or refund.

Delivery
The following is for guidance only and does not affect the Terms and Conditions.
Our Standard Mainland UK Delivery Service
We apply a £3.50 processing and delivery charge for delivery to mainland UK addresses. We will despatch your order as soon as possible, generally within 5 days. Orders are generally sent by post and a signature may be required on delivery. If we are unable to deliver within 28 days we will only proceed with an order with your agreement.
For clarity: the time taken for the goods to reach you is the sum of the time taken for us to despatch the goods plus the time taken for the courier/post to deliver to you.
* “Working Days” are defined as Mon-Fri, excluding Public Holidays
Delivery Address
We are happy to deliver to any Mainland UK address. For certain products we are also able to deliver to the Scottish Islands, Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly and Northern Ireland - please call 07989 765157 to check, and we will arrange carriage on request (an additional surcharge may apply). To ensure that our couriers can deliver, the delivery address should be a full address including postcode.
If you are out, the courier will leave a calling card at your home. You can then telephone the local depot and either re-arrange the delivery or collect yourself from the depot, within 10 working days of the first delivery. After 7 working days the parcel will be returned to our warehouse and our customer services team will contact you. Please note that goods "left safe" upon customer's instructions are left at the customer's own risk.
Delivery procedure
IMPORTANT: When signing for the delivery, if there is any damage to the box at all please sign for as "damaged" or do not accept the delivery. All items damaged in transit must be notified to us by calling 07989 765157 or sending an email to customer.services@matchitbox.com within 48 hours of delivery. Failure to do this may result in the item not being replaced.
It is important that the delivery address is accurate. Please be precise about where you would like the Goods left if you are out when we deliver. We cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage to the Goods once they have been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions.
Tracking your order
You can telephone Customer services on 07989 765157, give them the invoice number and find out the order status.
The legal stuff
When you place an order you will receive a confirmation e-mail. This e-mail does not constitute acceptance amounting to a contract; acceptance takes place when the product is despatched, until which time Matchitbox.com are entitled to withdraw the offer.
Matchitbox.com will not be liable for any loss caused to you by late delivery and will not be liable for any loss or damage to goods once they have been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions.
